Addenbrooke's 2020 Vision

The
Addenbrooke's 2020 Vision is a project to transform the Addenbrooke's Hospital site (Addenbrooke's NHS Trust) into the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The site will be extended to the railway line and the city boundary, to the west and south west of the current hospital. The outline planning application for the overall development was approved in November 2007 (application 06/0796/FUL). The City Council has a summary of the application.

Cambridgeshire Guided Busway

There will be a spur of the
Guided Busway into the extended site, with regular services from Trumpington Park & Ride site and Cambridge railway station. The route of the spur will be to the north of the current track from Paget Close to Addenbrooke's. Work has begun on the construction of the bridge and the embankments either side of the railway.

Addenbrooke's Access Road

The
Addenbrooke's Access Road is being constructed from a point between the M11 junction 11 and the entrance to the Park & Ride site, to Shelford Road and then Addenbrooke's Hospital. The road will enter the Addenbrooke's site at its south west corner, with a new bridge over the railway. The first phase is from Hauxton Road to Shelford Road and the second phase from Shelford Road to Addenbrooke's Hospital.
