This is one of a series of pages about Clay Farm.

Countryside Properties is responsible for the area of the Clay Farm/Showground development to the east of Shelford Road, around the
Addenbrooke's Road roundabout.
Countryside is marketing this as Abode. Phase 1 has 308 homes: approved in July 2011; Phase 2 is 136
homes, approved in August 2014 (see the City Council
planning page and plan of Clay Farm). The area was part of the Cambridge Green
Belt until 2006 and farmland until 2007. Addenbrooke's Road was constructed between 2007 and 2010. There were extensive
archaeological
excavations in advance of the Addenbrooke's Road project and house building.
