This is one of a series of pages about Clay Farm.

The area at the north western end of the Clay Farm development, between Long Road and Fawcett School, east of Wingate Way, was to be
marketed as the Long Lane development but is now known as
Halo. Initially planned by Skanska, it is now owned by Crest Nicholson. It
will include 274 homes and a local park. The Reserved Matters application was approved in January 2013 (see the City Council
planning
page and plan of Clay Farm). The area was part of the Cambridge Green Belt until 2006 and farmland until 2007. There was an extensive
archaeological excavation in the area in 2011-12, see
report and site visit. House development started on site in late 2014.
